Many women prefer wearing pants as opposed to skirts or dresses. This can be a blessing and a curse. Pants offer more freedom of movement, but they don’t always work as well with other types of clothing. What can you wear with pants?
The first thing you’ll need is a shirt that goes on top of the pants. For this, a button up shirt would work best for formal events. A t-shirt works best for casual occasions or if you’re going out on the town with your friends, while long sleeve shirts are often preferred for dressing gowns during wintertime. It’s not certain whether or not you’ll need a shirt underneath the shirt; it will depend on what shape you prefer. If you like baggy shirts and pants, then there may be no need for a shirt.
Do up your buttons and don’t forget to wear something underneath the shirt, especially if it’s cold outside. You’ll also want to wear pants that go over the boots; it doesn’t matter what type of pants you wear, but they should be long enough to reach your ankles (and probably your calves).
You can finish up by adding other accessories such as scarves, necklaces, belts and jackets.
Another good option for pants is a skirt. Simply do a backward roll to make it more comfortable and remove the pockets. You can also add a shirt to this look for a more formal occasion or if you think your legs look too pale.
Skirts don’t always work with other clothing, but they’re usually simple to pair up with shirts and blouses. Most shirts will go well with skirts, but you’ll want to avoid short skirts if you’re planning on wearing long boots or pants that reach above your ankles.
In order to complete the outfit, simply add accessories such as necklaces and scarves and wear some nice pumps or heels in order to add some height.
